well, the macauness didn't really like it. First of all, the china used many million for building this. And they believed that the statue will bring them bad luck. The many guan yins you might have seen had their face upright, but this looks sad with her head down. Feng shui problem also, the back of the guan yin is facing the sea and front facing the mountain, which should be the other way round. Lastly, the lotus beneath should be opened up n not closed. Interesting, isn't it?The way they look at things.Good stories were told by our tour guide in the Maccau one-day tour.
